Biography

Zhang Hengliang, a Zhishan Young Scholar (Level A) and Xiaomi Young Scholar at Southeast University. His research focuses on electrified transportation application scenarios, including electric vehicles, electric aircraft, rail transit and others. Based on artificial intelligence technology, he has realized the interdisciplinary integration of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, materials engineering and other disciplines in electric drive systems, established an artificial intelligence-driven simulation and optimal design platform for motor systems, and developed electric drive systems featuring high power density, high efficiency and high reliability.

He has published more than 50 high-level academic papers, including over 30 JCR Q1 papers. He has been granted 9 Chinese invention patents, 1 US patent and 5 software copyrights, and drafted 4 group standards in the field of motor technology.

He has been selected into the Young Elite Scientists Sponsorship Program by the China Association for Science and Technology and listed in Stanford University's World's Top 2% Scientists. He has presided over a number of national-level scientific research projects, including sub-tasks of the National Key R&D Program, General Program and Youth Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has received the First Class Award for Technical Invention by the Ministry of Education. His doctoral dissertation was awarded Excellent Doctoral Dissertation by the China Electrotechnical Society and Jiangsu Province. He supervised undergraduate students to win one National First Prize and one Jiangsu Provincial First Prize in the "Challenge Cup" National College Students' Extracurricular Academic Science and Technology Works Competition, and all the graduate students he supervised have been employed by top enterprises in the industry.

He is continuously recruiting researchers with a master’s degree or above in motor systems and their control, artificial intelligence, computational science, mechanical engineering, fluid heat transfer, materials engineering and other related majors to join the team and jointly tackle cutting-edge technical problems in the industry.
