Recently, the list of winners for the 33rd Southeast University Young Faculty Teaching Competition was officially announced. Qingsong Wang from our School stood out among numerous participants to win the first prize. This achievement not only represents high recognition by the university for the dedication Qingsong Wang shows to teaching, but also marks a historic breakthrough for our School, as it is our first time winning the First Prize in this competition.

Launched in 1993, the Southeast University Young Faculty Teaching Competition serves as a vital platform for cultivating the teaching skills of young educators and enhancing the quality of undergraduate education. Renowned for its broad participation, long history, and rigorous evaluation standards, the event is widely regarded as a "touchstone" of teaching excellence for young faculty at Southeast university. In previous years, the First Prize has frequently remained vacant due to these strict criteria, underscoring the true prestige of this award.

As a young faculty member at the School of Electrical Engineering, Qingsong Wang has consistently dedicated himself to teaching excellence alongside his rigorous research endeavors. In the classroom, he emphasizes clear and precise explanations of foundational knowledge in electrical engineering, ensuring students build a solid foundation. Furthermore, he excels at integrating the latest academic advancements and real-world engineering cases into his lessons. By transforming abstract concepts into concrete and engaging content, he successfully inspires curiosity and innovative thinking among students.

Additionally, Qingsong Wang places great importance on classroom interaction and student feedback. Impressively, he memorizes name of every student in a short time at the start of each course. By prioritizing the student experience, he cultivates a warm, profound, and dynamic learning environment. His efforts have earned widespread acclaim from his students and high praise from teaching supervisors. His teaching evaluations consistently achieve the highest rating, with his student evaluation scores ranking among the top in the school.

For Qinsong Wang this award is both a great honor and a strong motivation. We hope he will take this as a new starting point to continue his dedication to the classroom, contributing even more to student development and academic growth at the university. Meanwhile, we encourage all young faculty members in the school to look to Qingsong Qingsong Wang as a role model. By staying committed to our teaching roles, focusing on student education, and continuously refining our teaching skills, we can work together to take the undergraduate education of our School to the next level.
