Personal Profile:
Xi Wu (1987.2-), is a professor, doctoral supervisor, and assistant to the dean for the School of Electrical Engineering. He was selected for Young Backbone Educator of the Qing Lan Project of Jiangsu Province and Zhishan Young Scholar Plan (Level A) at Southeast University. He serves as the Vice Chairman of the Teaching Committee for Power System and Automation Discipline in China Education Association of Machinery Industry(CEAMI), and as an Executive Director of the IEEE PES Technical Committee (China).He is also a visiting scholar at the Illinois Institute of Technology, USA.His main research interests include the localization and suppression technologies of wideband oscillations in power systems, modeling and optimal control of FACTS, and the stability analysis of power systems with renewable energy integration.
He has led 3 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), 2 subprojects under the National Key Research and Development Program of China, 2 projects under the Natural Science Foundation of Jiangsu Province, and 2 science and technology projects funded by the State Grid Corporation of China.Additionally, he has led more than 20 research projects for various enterprises and institutions, including the China Electric Power Research Institute, State Grid Jiangsu Electric Power Company, State Grid Jiangsu Economic and Technological Research Institute, and NARI Technology Co., Ltd.
He has published more than 60 papers in renowned domestic and international journals, such as IEEE Transactions on Power Systems, IEEE Transactions on Sustainable Energy, IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Power Delivery, and Proceedings of the CSEE. He has received one First Prize and one Second Prize of the Jiangsu Provincial Science and Technology Award, as well as one Third Prize of the Jiangxi Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award. In addition, he holds more than 10 granted invention patents and one software copyright. Currently, he serves as a reviewer for various journals, including IEEE Transactions on Smart Grid, IEEE Transactions on Power Systems, Proceedings of the CSEE, and Automation of Electric Power Systems.
