Biography

Researcher Hong Lucheng was born in Nantong, Jiangsu Province. He is currently a researcher, doctoral supervisor, and IEEE Senior Member. He received his bachelor‘s degree from the School of Electrical Engineering, Southeast University, and his master’s and doctoral degrees from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Tsinghua University. He serves as the Executive Director of the IEEE PES Technical Committee (China), and is a member of both the Youth Working Committee and the Power Quality Committee of the China Power Supply Society.

In recent years, he has presided over 3 National Natural Science Foundation projects, 2 National Key R&D Plan sub-projects, 2 Jiangsu Provincial Natural Science Foundation projects, and 1 Jiangsu Provincial Major Achievements Transformation Project. Cooperated with State Grid Corporation of China, China Southern Power Grid Corporation and other units on dozens of horizontal projects.

In recent years, he has won a number of provincial and ministerial science and technology awards, including:

  1. the first prize of the China Electrotechnical Society Science and Technology Progress Award in 2024 (ranked 1st per unit/individual).

  2. the second prize of the Jiangsu Province Science and Technology Progress Award in 2024 (ranked 1st individually).

  3. the 19th Jiangsu Science and Technology Progress Award The "Challenge Cup" special competition, the national special prize/championship of the 2025 China Youth Science and Technology Innovation "Unveiling the List" Competition (the instructor ranks 1st).

  4. the third prize of the 2025 Chint Cup Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (the instructor ranks 1st)

  5. National Artificial Intelligence Application Scenario Innovation Challenge - First Prize in the National Finals (the instructor ranks 1st).

In 2024, he was named the 14th My Favorite Graduate Tutor of Southeast University - the College's Outstanding Tutor.

In recent years, he has published more than 30 academic papers, including IEEE Trans.on Power System, IEEE Trans. On Sustainable Energy, IEEE Trans. On Power Delivery, IEEE Trans. On Power Electronics, IEEE Trans. On Industrial Electronics, IET Renewable Power Generation, Chinese Journal of Electrical Engineering, Power System Automation, Chinese Journal of Electrotechnical Technology and other first-class domestic and foreign publications, and has authorized dozens of related invention patents. Served as a reviewer for top domestic and foreign journals such as IEEE Trans journals, Artificial Intelligence Review (AIRE), Chinese Journal of Electrical Engineering, Chinese Journal of Electrotechnical Technology, and Power System Automation.
