Biography

Yi Tang is a full Professor and doctoral supervisor at Southeast University, and Director of the Institute of Power System Automation. He serves as the Chairman of the IEEE PES Nanjing Chapter.


Prof. Dr. Yi Tang’s research interests include power system security & stability analysis and control, cyber-physical power systems, and artificial intelligence applied in power systems. He has served as the Principal Investigator for more than 10 programs funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the National Key Research and Development Program. He was approved as the project leader of more than 100 programs supported by the State Grid and provincial-level scientific programs. He has published over 190 SCI/EI-indexed papers and holds more than 140 authorized national invention patents.


Prof. Dr. Yi Tang serves as an Editorial Board Member of Automation of Electric Power Systems, Power System Technology, Protection and Control of Modern Power Systems, and some other international journals. In addition, he serves as a member of the Special Committee on Power System of China Society for Electrical Engineering(CSEE), a member of the Special Committee on Artificial Intelligence and Electrical Applications of China Electrotechnical Society(CES), a member of the Special Committee on Smart Energy Systems of Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence, a member of NEA Technical Committee 32 on Standardization of Shore Power Facilities, the Chairman of Jiangsu Provincial Electromagnetic Technical Committee for Metrology, and member of international and domestic professional academic organizations.
