I.Course Introduction (including teaching goals and requirements) within 300 words:
As one of the optimal courses, the aim of the course is to let graduate acknowledge advanced technology of electrical engineering, be familiar with the intelligent apparatus and master the basic theory and technology. The course mainly includes electrical apparatus conspectus, signal processing, signal detecting, control system, execution system, network and communication of the intelligent apparatus. Graduates are required to master theory and technology to design and develop the intelligent apparatus.
The basic requirement for the teaching is (1) to understand the character, task and research the object of the course, (2) to master basic concept, basic principle and basic method of the discipline, including new development of the intelligent apparatus, (3) to connect with reality tightly on the basis of the applied characteristics of the course, to learn the design of the intelligent apparatus and to improve the ability of the analyzing and solving the problem.

A)Character, object and task of the course
As one of the optimal courses, the aim of the Intelligent Apparatus course is to let graduate acknowledge advanced technology of electrical engineering, be familiar with the intelligent apparatus and master the basic theory and technology. The course mainly includes electrical apparatus conspectus, signal processing, signal detecting, control system, execution system, network and communication of the intelligent apparatus. Graduates are required to master theory and technology to design and develop the intelligent apparatus.
B)Basic requirement of the syllabus
After finishing studying the course, the following requirement should be satisfied
1. To understand the character, task and research the object of the course correctly. To acknowledge the course architecture. To have a whole acknowledge for the course.
2. To master basic concept, basic principle and basic method of the discipline, including new development of the intelligent apparatus.
3. To connect with reality tightly on the basis of the applied characteristics of the course, to learn the design of the intelligent apparatus and to improve the ability of the analyzing and solving the problem.
C)Teaching content and requirement
(1)Concept of intelligent apparatus
To understand the definition and classification, to know typical structure, to master the connotation and main content, to know the theory task of intelligent apparatus.
(2)Basic theorem of electrical apparatus and signal processing base
To understand the principle of thermal and force effect of current and master their computation method. To understand related concept of electrical contact. To be able to simulated the arc. To master magnet circuit, their computation method and magnet field finite element computation method. To understand sampling and digital filter concept and master signal analysis method.
(3)Signal detecting system of intelligent apparatus
To master the local parameter type and digital measurement method. To be able to use all kinds of sensors of intelligent apparatus. To master signal input channel design method. To be able to analyze and process the local signal, and be able to analyze the errorless of detecting system.
(4)Intelligent apparatus control system
To understand the basic structure and components. To understand the basic function and characteristics of the controller. To be able to design the controller system. To master the design and flow chart of intelligent apparatus controller hardware system. To understand the control arithmetic of intelligent apparatus controller. To be able to design the network and communication system for the intelligent apparatus.
(5)Electronics actuator and permanent magnet actuator
To understand conventional actuator system and their limitation. To understand electronics actuator construction and design principle, master permanent magnet actuator design method. To understand phase control switchgear. To be able to analyze electronics control accuracy and system reliability. To understand the dc circuit breaker with permanent magnet actuator.
(6)Reliability of intelligent apparatus and electromagnetic compatible
To understand reliability principle of intelligent apparatus. To understand electromagnetic compatible of intelligent apparatus. To understand electromagnetic compatible testing and standard.
(7)Automation of distribution -the first application of the intelligent apparatus
To understand intelligent re-closer and distributor. To understand the basic mode of power automation of distribution. To understand feeder terminal unit (FTU). To understand the communication of the automation of distribution.
(8)Flexible alternating current transmission system apparatus-the second application of intelligent apparatus
To understand the concept of flexibility ac transmission. To understand the power electronics application on power system. To understand typical apparatus of flexible ac transmission system. To understand extra high voltage vacuum circuit breaker.
(9)Unified power quality manage system-intelligent apparatus development
To understand the concept of the power quality. To understand the reactive power compensation and simultaneous reactive power theory, active filter and dynamic power quality conditioner and unified power quality conditioner.
