I.Course Introduction (including teaching goals and requirements) within 300 words:
Students study basic and advanced relay protection theory and application in transmission-line, transformer, generator and busbar. The latest development and technology in protection relay are studied through latest papers and publishing. Lecture focuses on hot-spot techniques and relay application especially in EHV/UHV transmission line and large capacity transformer and generator. Students can master protection design, principles, and applications after class, and can develop advanced relay for future power system.
